On Tuesday, Apple updated its Xcode IDE to version 6.3.1, intended to squash some bugs in the 6.3 release which came out on April 9. In addition, the update fixes some “critical issues” related to the Interface Builder, playgrounds, and debugging functions — presumably related to security. The 6.3 Xcode release included a new version of programming language Swift (version 1.2), a new crash reporting tool developed from Apple’s acquisition of TestFlight, a revised Organizer window, and SDKs for the latest hardware, including the Force Touch trackpad.
